The Scholastican

1.       The Scholastican Heritage

You are a Scholastican.  To be a Scholastican means to happily belong to a Benedictine family with a rich heritage.  Pass this heritage on to those who will follow you.

2.       The Scholastican Motto

ORA et LABORA (Pray and Work) - The motto will bring you to an awareness of your role as a Christian and of your talents as a person.

3.       The School Seal

The School seal known as Benedictine Peace represents the Christian education you are to achieve.

 4.       The Scholastican Spirit

A Scholastican is a lover of Christ.  She sees Christ in herself and in others.  Because she bears Christ, the Scholastican spirit is one of service.  Did you know that our school is a *School of the Lord’s Service?  This service is done “That in all things God may be glorified.”  This is the meaning of the letters U.I.O.G.D. which you sometimes find at the bottom of our programmes, circulars or invitations.
