Part of one's student life is the experience of joining contests and winning them. Despite the odds of online distance learning, a young Scholastican pursued her passion and got rewaded.

Gianna Erin Camaya, a grade 3 student, joined the KooBits Young Entrepreneur Challenge 2020 last December 2020. She bagged the 2nd Place for the Content Creation Category and 3rd Place for the Marketing Category and Honorable Mention for the Product Design Category.

A Virtual Tour to Gardenia

One of the major challenges of online distance learning is the actual experience of having an educational tour. Who says it is not possible?

Gardenia Bakers Philippines and St. Scholastica's Academy Marikina tied up this school year to come up with a virtual tour that gave the young Scholasticans an extraordinary experience at the comforts of their homes. The following dates were set for the said activity.

Junior Girl Scouts' Virtual Camping

The Junior Girl Scouts of the Grade -4 Level had their Virtual Camping last April 30 and May 1, 2021. The activity started in making the make-shift tents. They enjoyed preparing their tents with their families. Art workshop started at 8:00 in the evening with the invited facilitator, Miss Clarissa "Issay" Rodriguez. The girls had fun identifying the fruits in the farm, making their own digital fruit farm and writing a prayer for the Filipino farmers.

SSAM's 60th Diamond Jubilee

Sixty years ago, St. Scholastica's Academy Marikina opened its doors for a Benedictine Education centered in Christ and committed to the virtue of ora et labora. What was then an empty ground, " grew trees that sheltered the nests of the doves" until they were ready to soar in the sky. From its humble beginnings as a small community of educators and students, SSAM has grown to what it is today.
