Financial Assistance Programs


OBJECTIVE OF THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

            The SSAM Financial Assistance Program aims to relieve the financial burden of deserving students
who cannot afford to pay the tuition fee.

GENERAL PROCEDURE FOR ENTRY
            All requirements will be submitted to the Registrar for an initial assessment. Acceptance of applicants will depend on the approval of the committee, in consultation with the Directress.

TYPES OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

A.   SSAM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (Internal) – An assistance given to a deserving applicant who cannot afford to pay the
       full tuition fee. She is given a discount depending on the financial capability of the parents to pay, and subject to the committee's
      recommendation and approval of the Directress.

CRITERIA
The applicant
     •      legitimate student of SSAM;
     •      has an average grade of 83%, and no grade lower than 80% in any subject, in any quarter;
            Consideration may be given to deserving students who have two lines of seven grades in a school year
            but not lower than 78%.

     •      has an average conduct grade of B+ or S and no grade lower than B+ or S in any criterion, in any quarter;
     •      No letter grade below S.

REQUIREMENTS
     •      Parent/s' application letter to the School Directress through the School Treasurer stating the reason for applying
             for financial assistance;
     •      Original and photocopy of recent report card;
     •      Recommendation letter from the Grade School/High School Principal;
     •      Certificate of Good Moral Character;
     •      Parent/s' Income Tax Returns or Certificate of Tax Exemption;
     •      Interview by the School Treasurer;
     •      Background check.

CONDITIONS FOR MAINTAINING THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
     •      General average of 83%, no grade below 80% in any subject in the final grade, and with no failing grade
             in any subject during the school year;
     •      exemplary behavior, and must not have a conduct grade lower than B+ or S in any criterion, in any quarter;
     •      financial assistance is on a yearly basis.

Note: An applicant with a sibling currently enjoying or has enjoyed financial assistance in the past is automatically disqualified.

BENEFIT
      The applicant is given a discount on tuition fees depending on the financial capability of parent/s to pay.
